Troop 290 helped clean up the Calero State Park. The scenery was beautiful, though there was trash to pick up. Many scouts came to attend the event, hosted by the rangers. Service hours could be obtained during the cleanup. The volunteers and scouts found many interesting pieces of trash, including a tire frame! Mr. Mcfayden even found a swimming fin from the 1960’s. The event lasted for 3 hours and was arranged for the National River Cleanup Day. If you want to help your community and clean the environment, volunteer more!
