Santa Clara County Parks department is conducting their Pix-in-Parks Challenge again. You go on a stroll or hike in each of seven different parks, take a selfie at the appointed landmark, and (with your parent’s permission) post it to social media. After you complete all seven of the park adventures, you can go to the park office, show your proof and then receive a T-shirt or bandana to show your accomplishment.
Nolan and I did two today. One was a “moderate” difficulty hike in Coyote Lake Harvey Bear and one was “easy” at Chitactac. If you click on the hashtag in the table underneath the map you’ll be taken to a detailed map of the park showing the route, landmark and coordinates of the parking lot. This link https://www.sccgov.org/sites/parks/Activities/Biking-Hiking/Pages/PixInParks-challenge.aspx will take you to the Santa Clara County website with all of the details.
